Office of Mission Engagement
The Office of Mission Engagement, in collaboration with internal and external partners, seeks to advance Barry's mission, identity, strategic priorities, and important organizational goals through promoting a culture of excellence and offering educational experiences that engage and transform. We believe that Barry's values and core commitments are integral to institutional effectiveness and that the Mission is made visible when students, faculty, and staff model and clearly articulate a shared vision. Mission engagement efforts are coordinated with key constituent groups to offer University-wide events, conferences, workshops, for students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and external community members. Through education and dialogue, opportunities to affirm our Catholic and Dominican identity and collegiate traditions are advanced and supported.
The Office of Mission Engagement supports members of the University and broader community through:
- Barry CARES Programming
- Earth Day and Sustainability Awareness
- Founders’ Week
- Mission and Leadership Development Opportunities
- New Faculty and Staff Orientation
- Student Mission Presentations
Initiatives and opportunities that reflect our mission are fostered through the following committees:
- Barry’s Ecological Sustainability Team (BEST)
- Community Learning Partnership (CLP)
- Mission Integration Council (MIC) Miami Shores Campus
- Mission Effectiveness Committee (MEC) Law School Campus
- Quality Improvement Program (QIP)
